The fifth in a series of 20 Quilted Flower designs. Each design is stitched in hand dyed floss. The designs are not all the same size and shape. I named the series because the specialty stitches make the flowers look quilted. Worked in specialty stitches, the flowers are the same size as cross stitch over 1 thread. The small size intensifies the color and shine of the threads. Specialty stitches are not difficult to learn. Every stitch is charted and the charts are easy to follow. They go a lot faster than cross stitch and they are lots of fun!
Stitched on 28 count Mint Green Jubilee using hand dyed floss from Ozark Sampler Threads in bright tropical shades of green, yellow and blue. Shining Starflower has a Pinwheel center with Satin Stitch and Bargello petals and a Ray Stitch variation for the border.
